Only 2 flats sold for Rs 100 crore, the most expensive property deal between Corona
MUMBAI: The property market is believed to be in a slump due to the corona.
Rahul Bajaj's nephew, businessman Anurag Jainai, bought the property at a cost of Rs 100 crore at the Mongha-Mula property market in South Mumbai. The total area of both the flats is 21 square feet. That means Jain paid about Rs 1.5 lakh for each square foot.
A few days ago, two apartments were sold in Mumbai for Rs 2.50 crore. The two apartments were bought by Romesh Sobti and his wife. The building in which they bought the apartments is still being built under the name 'Third Six Waste Project' and is being built by Oberoi Realty. The purchase documents were registered with the Maharashtra government at the end of June.
The total stamp duty on both the apartments is around Rs 2.50 crore. The Carmichael Residency is a 3-storey apartment. The two deals, which took place in a fortnight, are one of the most expensive in the history of Indian property. In the June deal, Jain paid Rs 5 crore in stamp duty. Two flats worth Rs 100 crore also include parking for eight cars.
Jain is a big businessman in automobile spare parts. He is the MD of a company called Endurance Technology. Ramesh Sobti's apartments are on the 6th and 20th floors respectively. The total built-up area of both the apartments is 18,40 square feet.
Includes 3 car parking with apartment. The building is nearing completion, but work is currently stalled due to the lockdown. Possession will be available in the next few months.
