MHRD NAT 2020 means MHRD National Awards to Teachers 2020. MHRD has given NTA 2020 notification and online applications are inviting through online mode from the school teachers from all states in India for honour with National Best Teachers Award to best teachers.

The Ministry of Human Resources Development, Delhi is inviting online applications for the National Best Teacher Award (National Award to Teachers) 2020 for the year 2019 from teachers and principals working in Government, Zilla Parishad, Mandala Parishad and Aided Schools

Applications can be registered through the MHRD website by 15.07.2020. So teachers can take advantage of this opportunity.

The purpose of National Awards to Teachers is to celebrate the unique contribution of some of the finest teachers in the country and to honour those teachers who through their commitment and industry have not only improved the quality of school education but also enriched the lives of their students.

a) District Education Officer: Chairperson

b) Representative of State/UT Govt.: Member

c) One Reputed academician nominated by District Collector: Member

viii) The major functions to be performed by DSC are as under:

a) Physical verification of the facts/ information provided by the applicant by forming verification teams.

b) Evaluation/ marking of the applicants as per the format at Annexure-I.

c) Certificate by DSC: The DSC shall certify that marks have been awarded after due verification of the facts.

d) After the detailed evaluation of the applications, DSC will shortlist 3 names and forward these to State Selection Committee through online portal along with vigilance clearance certificate of each of the 3 applicants.

e) In addition to the applications received, the DSC in exceptional circumstances, may suo-moto consider name of maximum one person among the outstanding teachers including special educators and differently abled teachers/heads of schools. The evaluation will be done as per the format at Annexure-I.

f) DSC may take into account performance of teachers in various streams of studies viz. science, arts, music, physical education etc.

Teaching is a very important profession that shapes the character, caliber and future of an individual. We believe “The reason teachers are awarded among all the jobs around because it is one of noblest profession and one of the most difficult to be a GOOD TEACHER.” Teachers are some of the hardest workers. Not only they have to meet the needs but have to accommodate the learning styles of thirty plus students an hour. 

There are multitude of other task also. As they care like mother, they spend time with children than most of their parents do. Their job is to teach but many times they go beyond their duty by exceeding their role as a counselor, psychologist, cheer leaders, life coaches and much more.

Their efforts converts the child’s answer from “ I Can’t” to “I can!”

Their moral mission is to help the child and support him to get off from all the hurdles.

During our journey of THE OPEN PAGE, we came across many such excellent work carried out by educators in various aspects of the education. 

These innovators who were working to improve the quality selflessly were not being recognized and encouraged.

In 2014-15, five years back the 1st edition of educator’s award was announced and organized in Ahmedabad. The second award in 2015-16 was organized in Rajkot , third award in 2016-17 was in Surat, fourth award in 2017-18 in Vadodara and in 2020 the award function was held in Mehsana.

Aim: To recognize and rejuvenate the noble profession of educators.

To recognize and felicitate the teaching profession.

To motivate individuals /organizations/Institutions.

To create a better citizens through education.

Being the need of the hour, we began with the noble deed of felicitating this profession. 

has organized the award function in five major cities of Gujarat in turns and each city has a host school which took up the responsibility of organizing the event in their premises. 

This is an opportunity to promote and recognize the importance of educators in the future.

Idea behind the rotation is to make the award popular and invite more and more educators to get nominated and show case their work.
