The decision of the Gov. to start school colleges in Gujarat from November 23 has been postponed due to the current situation in Corona.
In a press conference on Thursday, state education minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama said that schools and colleges would be started in Gujarat from the 23rd. But with the corona cases escalating and curfew re-imposed in Ahmedabad, the Gujarat government has reversed the decision in a matter of hours. Now the state government has decided that schools and colleges in the state will not open from the 23rd.
It may be mentioned that today Education Minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama held a meeting with the DEO of the district. And after the meeting, he said, schools in the state will be started from the 23rd. Despite constant protests from parents, the education minister announced the reopening of the school. But curfew was declared in Ahmedabad due to increasing cases of corona. After which the decision to start the school and college was postponed by the government late on Thursday night.
Corona cases have been on the rise in the state since Diwali. The government has taken this decision considering the status of Corona in Teva state.
