In education, the teacher is the person who provides schooling to others. A teacher who facilitates teaching to a single student can also be called a personal teacher. In many countries, a person who wants to become a teacher in a state-run school must first obtain a professional qualification or certificate from a university or college.
The role of the teacher may vary according to cultures. Teachers can teach reading and writing and numeracy, or some other school subjects. Other teachers may provide vocational training, arts, religion or spirituality, civics, community roles, or the art of living.

Primary education is the foundation of development of every citizen who determines the future of the country. India has recently made good progress in enrolling in primary education, maintaining education,
regular attendance and increasing literacy, which accounts for two-thirds of India's population. India's improved education system is considered to contribute to India's good economic growth. At the same time, the quality of primary education in India is becoming very important.
Free and compulsory education for every child up to the age of 14 is provided for in the Constitution of India. Parliament has recently passed the Right to Education Act which considers education as a basic right for a child of 6-14 years.
The country has yet to achieve the goal of ubiquitous primary education which means 100 per cent school enrollment and keeping children in school through school facilities and accommodation.
To fill this gap, the government launched the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan in 2001, the largest such program in the world.
In this area of information technology, especially in rural India, ICT plays an important role in bridging the gap between what should and should not be in education.
Vikaspedia's Department of Primary Education contributes to the achievement of the purpose of primary education in India by providing a variety of material resources.
Now is the age of education. There is a lot of talk about 'education' in recent times. The word ‘education’ comes from ‘education’. ‘Shiksha’ originally means ‘punishment’. The purpose of education is not to punish anyone but to compulsorily convert the Sami person towards social etiquette and appropriate behavior. Here we are talking about 'life knowledge' instead of 'self-knowledge'.
