New Delhi. Shiv Nader resigned as chairman of India's leading tech company HCL Technologies on Friday and handed over the reins of the company to his daughter Roshni Nadar Malhotra. Roshni, 38, has been named in Nader Malhotra's Forbes The World's 100 Most Powerful Woman 2019. Not only that, according to IIFL Wealth Hurun India, Roshni is the richest woman in the country with a net worth of Rs 36,800 crore in 2019.
Became CEO of HCL at just 28 years old
Rosh has been making all the strategic decisions of HCL since its inception. This is the reason why he was made the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the company at the age of only 28. The very next year he became the Executive Director of the Corporation. Along with Roshni's company, he also contributes to the education initiative of Shiv Nadar Foundation. He works at Foundation Education. Some of the top colleges and schools in India have been established by this foundation.
Roshni is the only child of Shiva Nadar
Shiva once said that I do not give leadership a chance, but keep an eye on those who can hear the bow. He trusted his daughter Roshani Nadar and took charge of the company. Roshani is also the Executive Director and CEO of HCL Enterprise.
Roshni Nadar grew up in Delhi
Roshni Nadar grew up in Delhi. He started his schooling from Delhi. Roshni then graduated from Northwestern University with a degree in Media. During this time she was also an intern at the CNBC channel. He holds a Master's degree in Business Administration from the Kellogg School of Management in the United States, with a focus on Social Enterprise Management and Strategy. She has also been an alumnus of the Young Economic Leaders Initiative of the World Economic Forum.
Dad quit his job at the media
After graduation, Roshni Nader also worked for Sky News' London office. After this, at the behest of his father, he quit the job. Roshni returned to India from abroad in October 2008 and joined her father's company HCL Corporation. Roshni is married to Shikhar Malhotra and they also have a son. Her husband also helps her in the Shiv Nadar Foundation.
