- The Chief Minister has announced a self-reliant Gujarat assistance scheme for the people of Gujarat. Regarding the announcement, Chief Minister Vijay Rupani said, "We are announcing a loan of up to Rs 1 lakh for all small shopkeepers or rickshaw drivers with a market interest of 15 per cent at 2 per cent." Loans up to Rs. 1 lakh will be given only on the basis of application. 2% interest will have to be paid annually. The remaining 6 per cent interest will be paid by the state government. 3% interest will have to be paid after three years. The main thing is to feel like giving money without interest
- The biggest advantage of this scheme is that there is no need to pay interest or installment for six months. The Chief Minister said that more than 10 lakh people will be able to avail the benefits of this scheme. Co-operative banks and district co-operative societies have agreed on the matter. The bank will arrange free of charge. I congratulate all the co-operative banks for agreeing to such a scheme. The credit is estimated at Rs 5,000 crore.
- Giving more information about the scheme, he said that the scheme will be for 3 years. The scheme will be operational in 220 Urban Co-operative Banks and 18 District Cooperative Banks. Credit societies will also be involved in the scheme. The government will announce its rules and other matters by making an announcement. The scheme is for small people like laundress, barber, cutlery store. Other states have given only five thousand rupees to their citizens
